It was okay - I thought the character development in Jerry was much better, as we practically zoned in on Jerry's life. For this, we only see Mickey at work, we don't see his other sides at home. We practically don't know this character at all. As for Jerry, we see many sides to him - at home when he's alone, when he's going to work, when he is working, when he leaves work to go home, and when he is home with another chick. It's so well developed that it impressed us. It's probably because of Jerry that this one was left in the shadows.

I guess your style of humor is to watch us as you create a character that you torture so we can laugh at them. It's funny enough to probably make a smile out of me, but not strong enough to make me laugh out loud. You micro-ed in on too narrow of an aspect rather than give us the round-about view and for me, that didn't express too much for the character. And perhaps it's because we don't know much about the character except he fucking hates his job, it's... boring. I'm sorry. I didn't know how to say it to soften the blow, so I might as well put it bluntly: I didn't like it as much as your previous works.

However, that doesn't mean I'm not watching anymore. It's still likeable enough for me to watch it and follow the series. I'm a fan of your works, man, and always will be. And I'm hoping to see more of your stuff make me more than just smile - I want to laugh my ass off and then sew it onto a chair like that Cyanide and Happiness short that came out a week or two ago: The Man Who Could Sit Anywhere or whatever it was called.
