What would make sense is if the flash movie was contained within a loader SWF, which rendered the flash movie as bitmap data, and stretched that out to the maximized frame.... Thats something I've implemented for full-screen mode in my upcoming game.. But you'll have noticed it on Youtube with its full-screen mode.

I do love the fact flash movies are now in-line... but the biggest thing thats getting on my tits is how the width affects text rather than the flash.... Its a real chore reading comments now.. You cant just scan your eyes over stuff to read anymore.

That's not the full extention of it, just try making your backgrounds in Photoshop or anything like that and exporting them to bitmap, then, upload it and expand it. You won't be happy at all.
